In the world news, our “ally” in the War on Terror, Pakistan, (Ally, loosely defined as country that harbors the Taliban, but isn’t actively blowing us up) which just happens to be a country filled with crazy Muslim extremists, and armed with nuclear weapons, is imploding. Musharraf has declared some crazy state of emergency, and [...]

The Slaughter http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0498386/
Okay, it is a cheesy, dumb, low-budget, wannabe Evil Dead. That said, as a B-Movie geek, I enjoyed it.
It starts out dumb, with the opening credit montage consisting primarily of naked chicks and chanting that sounds vaguely like “Cthula F’tagen something or other”. Then it fast forwards to a scene that I [...]

I taught a CCW class last night at Cabelas. It was a good class, but I had a really hard time. I’ve got a cut on the roof of my mouth, which I don’t really know how it got there, unless I was eating tortilla chips with a little too much enthusiasm, and it is [...]

Thanksgiving was kind of weird this year. Normally we’ll do Thanksgiving with my folks, and Christmas with my wife’s family. However my Dad got really sick and spent Thanksgiving in the hospital, turns out that he had two heart attacks and is now diabetic. He’s doing okay right now, but it having to adjust to [...]

Here are some pictures of what we did the day before Thanksgiving. There are the piles of packages, at the office, and then at the post office. I actually mailed about 300 packages. All back ordered magazines have been shipped.
The thousand people standing in line behind me were really happy. Luckily nobody threw a cinder block [...]

My thumbs hurt.
Over the last few days we’ve built several hundred Saiga .308 magazines. Between having the mag parts arrive, building them, and bagging them, combined with the Christmas sale, we’ve been swamped. The backordered mags will be shipped out before Thanksgiving.
On the writing front, I’m still waiting for the proof copy of [...]

So Heather Mills McCarthy, or whatever the hell her name is now, is going to save the world from farting cows, because it is better for Mother Earth if we drank rat’s milk instead.
No, I’m not making that up. Click the friggin’ link. That is too stupid to make up. I would be ashamed if [...]

We got the test springs yesterday. They’re good to go. So I should be taking possession of the first couple hundred tonight. The remainder coming the beginning of next week.
We’ll be cranking mags out as fast as we can and shipping them all next week. We have enough parts on hand to fill all existing [...]

I got an e-mail from my buddy Tom from Mojo Philter.
Larry, I posted a link to a song we recorded last night at practice. It doesn’t have vocals yet, but I think it is still pretty cool. J http://mojophilter.wordpress.com/
I listened to it. It was very retro cool and well done, especially considering that they’re still basically jamming [...]

John Shirley has an article in this month’s SWAT.
http://jrshirley.blogspot.com/2007/11/yay-articles-yay.html
John is on my blogroll, and he’s one of the coolest people I know. Army vet, martial arts affacionado, and all around good guy, the only thing I disagree with him on is a certain movie that I reviewed and really liked that he then checked out and hated, but hey, [...]
