Here is a Christmas stocking stuffer idea for you:

I’ve been using this stuff for the last year, and I can say that it is by far the best gun lubricant I have ever tried. When used correctly (strip gun, spray with degreaser, clean it really well, then lubricate) it makes rough guns feel good, and good guns feel super slick. The only gun I own that I didn’t feel a marked improvement in how the slide felt was my custom STI, but that was because it is hard to make butter feel softer. 🙂

  1. You psyched me out. Looking at the title I thought for a moment you wrote a slipstream story. The first thing that went through my head was: wow, that’s a change.

  2. I’ll give it a shot. I generally just use a decent oil for the hand, hammer, etc. on the revolvers and lever guns, but I do need something nicer for the hi-power, bdm and hSC. (and a trigger job, soon on the hi power!)

  3. I know how to make butter feel softer!

    Hur, Hur, Hur!!!

  4. Well, all I can say is: “Get it. Use as directed. And you won’t be disappointed!”

Disclaimer: Slipstream is will not raise the dead, heal the sick, cause blind liberals to see, make an ex-wife, or cause the economy to suddenly get better.

However, it will made a good gun better. A great gun super, An unknown author into a superstar. And turn Springfield Armory XD’s into Kriss Super V’s.
Ok, ok. That last part was a stretch but you get the idea.

Now go to to get yours today!

  5. I just heard about this stuff when listening to an episode of the Gun Dudes podcast on the way to work this morning. I guess I’ll check it out.

Finally got my first 1911 after a literal 10 year wait (something always kept coming up until my wife got me an early Christmas present), and now I guess I know what to put on it.

    • Crazy question in addition: Would you recommend grease instead of oil for the slide rails?

      • Personally, I do; most oils will migrate, which is good; but if you carry a lot will migrate down and take most of the lubrication with it, which isn’t. Grease stays where you put it. That said, some of the newer oils contain stuff that stays where you put it; Slipstream may be one of them.

  6. FWIW: My two cents on firearm care…Frog Lube CLP

  7. Hey Larry, you might want to get this as a stocking stuffer for yourself, its TR inventing PUFFs by taking out Bigfoot with a machine gun –

  8. Now you make want to do that, and a friend needed a hand on getting a Desert Eagle cleaned up that’s been neglected.

What do you guys recommend for a degreaser? I’ve seen anything from Simple Green to “Birchwood Casey” said to be the best ever.
