WARBOUND! Electronic Advanced Reader Copy available NOW!

I was surprised by this. I didn’t know the eARC was out yet!  http://www.baenebooks.com/p-1929-warbound-book-iii-of-the-grimnoir-chronicles-earc.aspx

For those of you unfamiliar with eARCs, they are Advanced Reader Copies like publishers send out to book reviewers. Baen makes these available for a little extra, but in this case you get to read the story 4 months before the book comes out. These aren’t even fully proofed, so you will even get to see some of my typos! 😀

Warbound is the end of the Grimnoir trilogy. Hard Magic is book 1. Spellbound is book 2. There are more Grimnoir universe books planned, but they will be with other characters and set in other times. I had a lot of fun with Warbound, so I’m really excited to hear what you think of it.

  1. The eARC went up in the last half hour or so. The pBook will be an August release. I read the pARC and had an absolute blast. I’ve already told several people that it’s “awesomely well written,” and when I finished it I added “enthralling.”

Thank you for writing it, sir. It was more than worth the trip. Please keep ’em coming.

  2. Already on my nook! Now my money is burning a hole in your pocket.

  3. Good timing! I was just looking for something new to read. It’s on my Baen wishlist, to be purchased when I get home!

  4. Woohoo!

  5. Yeah~ I load right at that moment. Thought website down for a sec…

  6. I’m really looking forward to Warbound!

Is this within a typo or two of the “final vision” or is there still a chance for some real story changes? I’d prefer to read the one where Han shoots first, even if that means waiting a while longer…

    • EARCs usually have just a typo of two…hundred. There can be an ‘Oopsie’ where a revision is made, but that is very rare, and the one time I saw it happen, Baen gave both versions to those who bought the EARC.

    • No story changes. That is all done. The only thing that would be different at this point on is proofing.

    • Awesome. Buying eARC in 3… 2… 1…

      Thanks for the replies guys!

  7. Already pre-ordered… forgot about the eArc. Now I get to pay for it twice… just like all of your other books. 😛

  8. Woohoo!!!! Can’t wait to dive into this one!

Now to explain to the wife why were 15 bucks short…… 😀

  9. I knew this was going to be out soon. Excellent. There goes the next couple of days.

  10. Yeah! No sleep for me tonight while I read the entire thing!

  11. Just bought it! I wish Baen would put up an upcoming books tab on their website so we know when eARCs are scheduled to be released. Can’t wait to read it tonight!

  12. Wow. I like MHI, but I think this is your best work.

  17. AWESOME!

I had a reminder set on my phone for the 5th of july to order the eARC. Now I can ditch that. 😛

  18. Oh, this is going to be a good weekend. Thank you so much Larry!

  19. I love you work Larry, we all do! I already pre-ordered it so I’m just going to read the sample chapters. Which means I’m going to have to wait… *cries* I LOVE YOUR BOOKS

  20. Damn, Larry, that was outstanding. Warbound was just about the perfect way to finish the trilogy. I thought the ending to Hard Magic was amazing, but the way that Warbound finished was just epic. Great job.

  21. MORE! MORE! And make longer!

  22. It was a wonderful read with a splendid ending.

  23. That was a great ride. Thanks Larry!

  24. Tremendous story, well done!!!

  25. Great read. This book is FUN. It’s just awesomely fun to read. You have a way of constantly accelerating the plot. Advancing is too limiting a word for it.

  26. loved the book just finished it but you need to fix the whole hydrogen lifts more thing (it does but its a fraction of a percent ) on the other hand i’m a science nut.
