Writers for Life Workshop

I’m going to be teaching a class at the Writers for Life Workshop in Provo next month. There are still spots left, and your membership fee goes to charity.

Here is a post with more details: http://matthewflitton.wordpress.com/2014/04/29/writers-for-life-schedule/

  1. Does “Writers for Life” mean “writers who will write until they kick the bucket”, or “writers against killing unborn babies”? Either is cool with me, just curious.

  2. As interesting and informative as I suspect it will be, I don’t think that this is an easy commute for me.

  3. Hey, that’s a good question. At the bottom of the article it says, “All of this awesome is available for a tax-deductible donation of at least $35 to the Huntsman Cancer Institute through my fundraising page.”

So I’d guess “Life” refers to charitable giving for medical reasons. I’d totally go for, “Writers against killing unborn babies.” WAKUB! Though, as a cancer survivor, I can’t really complain!

  4. Man, I wish Utah was closer.

    • As do I. Very much as do I! This conference sounds very interesting. Alas, 1000 miles is a bit of a long haul. Let us know how it goes.

  5. You should *film* them. Charge for copies. I’d buy one.

  6. OK, Larry, I decided I want to do this. Amazingly, I convinced my wife that a weekend in beautiful Utah is a reasonable thing to do. We’re in suburban Kansas City, you see. It could be the massive chest cold plus allergies she’s currently suffering from, or the medicines associated therewith, but I’m not going to look a gift trip in the, er, mouth.

Now, to find out if that novel/series/world/monster-universe that’s been rattling around in my head for a decade or two can actually finally find its way out onto paper/e-book and be worthy of notice by, well, anybody.

If nothing else, it’ll be nice this time of year out that way yonder.
